Renee Gordon Design respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and your rights under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address (optional), subject and message. We use them only to answer you. The form is sent to us by email.
- Calls and emails: the information you choose to give us, to answer you and, if you become a client, to carry out your project.
- Server logs: like any website, our host automatically records technical information (IP address, date and time, page viewed, browser type) to keep the site secure. These logs are deleted after about one month.
Cookies and third-party services
This website sends nothing to Google or other third parties: its fonts are served from our own site, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and set no cookies of our own. Links to Houzz and Google reviews take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only when needed to carry out your project (for example, with a contractor or supplier you agree to work with), when the law requires it, or with your consent. Our website and email are run by service providers, so information may be stored outside Quebec, with adequate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Messages from people who do not become clients are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Client information is kept for the duration of the project and as long as needed for our accounting and tax obligations, then securely destroyed. Server logs are deleted after about one month.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent. Contact the person in charge above; we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Security and incidents
The site is served over HTTPS and access to your information is limited. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information.
